Toast Box

Saturday. Life is like a toast. The first minute you have your piece its all crunch but then again, when time passes by and you let it on its on, it becomes stale and hard. Life is like a toast everything is always good in the beginning but when you stay for a place for too long, even though you love that place and is so attached to it, it ends you up dreading the day you opted to stay. Before watching the movie Hansel and Gretel: the witch hunters, me, the boyfriend, and mi sister had a little 1 hour to eat our hearts out before the movie time, so we went to Toast Box. Toast Box  is originally from Singapore, established in 2005. Its concept came from coffee shops from the 60s to the 70s where breakfast included a cup of coffee coupled with freshly toasted bread. Toast Box now has branches all over Asia - Malaysia, Thailand, China and the Philippines. I was totally craving for my comfort food curry and hainanese chicken so i ordered that for everybody. MAX BRENNER: Chocolate by The Bald Man

" All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt."  - Charles M. Schulz Max Brenner, the bald man, is creating a new chocolate culture. Situated at the Mall of Asia almost infront of Breadtalk and the former place of Haagen Dasz now lies the bald man's  chocolate de café. While waiting for our Les Miserable movie time, the boyfriend and I strolled along MOA, with our tastebuds and tummy filled and fulfilled with modern japanese-korean food... we craved for suhweets, and luckily, as we walked along the mall, the boyfriend saw this new add-ons to the homie moa vibe and tadah! Max Brenner - Chocolate by The Bald Man a chocolate bar which allows you to shop for choco bars and savor the sweet smell of cakes and cookies everytime you walk in. The Bald Man's cafe... In the chocolate shop you can find the "Hug Mug" – a mug specially designed for the chocolate drinking ceremony, "Suckao", "Fresh" –

Chers Collegues,

Chers Collegues,  “ I’m thankful for my years spent with this family, for everything we shared, every chance we had to grow. I’ll take the best of them with me and lead by their example wherever I go. A friend told me to be honest with you, so here it goes. This isn’t what I want, but I’ll take the high road. Maybe it’s because I look at everything as a lesson, or because I don’t want to walk around angry, or maybe it’s because I finally understand. There are things we don’t want to happen, but have to accept. Things we don’t want to know, but have to learn. And people we can’t live without, but have to let go.." -JJ (Criminal Minds)  Je t'embrasse, N

Table for two: Lolo Dad's Cafe in Malate, Manila

(photo from google) "Based on a psychological study, a crush only lasts for a maximum of 4 months. If it exceeds, you are already in love."  Now i can officially and truly say that it is love. 4 months of tears, petty quarrels, weekend LDRs, slow wifi connection, skype weekends, but most of all 4 months of LOVE. im very thankful to God, for giving me the better version of my prayer, my inspiration and my strength.  For months now, we have been having dates here and there and a date wont be complete without our gastronomical adventure also known as "eating" (which y'all could see in my instagram account @manicole) ,and for our 4th month i decided to surprise him with a reservation far from our adventurous laid back palates...  Lolo Dad's Cafe, located in taft (near us La Salle) Quirino. When we first arrived at the place the homey yet cozy yellow lit garden welcomed us, the old feel of 3 step cobblestone pathway gave the restaurant a classic

Thanking 2012

2012 have been so so good to me that i don't even wanna leave it. haha..kidding. so yeah 2013 is what we call now. and still every single year my mantra goes like this... "MAYBE IT'S NOT MY WEEKEND BUT IT'S GONNA BE MY YEAR... " yes, it can from a song by All Time Low...guilty as charge. But here are the things that i am grateful for the year 2012: 1. My family They have been the most supportive bunch in my life, my dad never ceases to give me unbounded advice about my life, career and sometimes the yet forbidden topic ... growing up (love). Im thank for them because they have been wonderful for everything, i owe them my point of views in life, from the strong will of my mom, to my goal oriented dad, to being independent like my sister and most of all being perky/hip like my little brother.  2. My work Yey for me! Ive already reached my 1 year at work last November (technically 1 year *officially* coz I've been a volunteer for so lon
